Adjective Agreement

Adjectives agree with the noun they modify in gender and number. Most go AFTER the noun in Spanish.

The rules

  • -o/-a: simpático / simpática (most common).
  • -e endings are gender-neutral: inteligente.
  • -ista endings are gender-neutral: deportista, artista.
  • -dor / -dora (agent): trabajador / trabajadora.
  • Common error: 'un delicioso postre' (English order) → ✅ 'un postre delicioso'.
