Simple Future (Ir + a + infinitivo)

Compound tense for the near future. Conjugated Ir + a + infinitive of the action verb.

The rules

Formula: (No) + verbo IR conjugado + a + infinitivo.
Means 'am/are/is going to + verb' — what will happen in the near future.
Compare with true future tense: Yo voy a comer (near future) vs Yo iré a comer (true future). Class uses only the simple/near future.
Time markers that pair well: esta noche, mañana, este fin de semana, esta tarde.
